...and with the "topping out ceremony" the final assembly starts.

The construction of the hatch door starts. Here you can see the skeletal structure of the lower half.

Hinches and locking mechanism are mounted and you can see what it will look like.

Inbetween I have painted the hatch doors and the remaining attaching parts and I did the wiring needed to start the engine for the first test run. Happy with myself I took a look at my work and found out that I had forgotten to mount the ventilation flap before mounting the dashboard...
Hence I will have to loosen some of the screws again. I used the chance to make a step by step documentation of the cockpit installation.
